Code42 has announced the platform retirement and end of support for Code42 servers on Mac beginning with major software version 6.0. Existing installations of the most current Code42 server version 5 software on Mac can continue utilizing Code42 cloud services throughout the entire Code42 for Enterprise version 5 software lifecycle. Windows phone platform retirement

Code42 has announced the platform retirement and end of support for Windows Phone beginning with major software version 4.0. With the release of CrashPlan mobile app version 4.2.0, Windows Phone users will not upgrade and will remain on CrashPlan mobile app version 3.5.4.0. Existing installations of the most current CrashPlan version 3 software on the Windows Phone platform can continue utilizing Code42 cloud services throughout the entire CrashPlan version 3 software lifecycle. Solaris platform retirement

Code42 has announced platform retirement and end of support for Solaris beginning with major software version 4.0. With the release of Code42 agent version 4.2.0, Solaris users will not upgrade and will remain on Code42 agent version 3.7.0. Existing installations of the most current Code42 agent version 3 software on the Solaris platform can continue utilizing Code42 cloud services throughout the entire CrashPlan version 3 software lifecycle. Code42 platform version 4.3.4.1 or later required for Code42 cloud before March 1, 2016

Amendment to hardware lifecycle policy

Our Hardware Lifecycle Policy has been changed to reflect that customers must purchase hardware maintenance and remote monitoring services throughout the life of the hardware, including the first year. Previously, the purchase price included the first year of these services.
Platform retirement for Windows XP and Windows Vista

The platform retirement for Windows XP and Windows Vista begins with version 5.0.1 of the Code42 agent and Code42 server. Customers can continue to use the 4.x versions of the Code42 agent and Code42 server on Windows XP and Windows Vista until Code42 chooses to end support for the 4.x series software. The platform retirement for OS X Lion 10.7 and OS X Mountain Lion 10.8 begins with version 5.0.1 of the Code42 agent and Code42 server. Customers can continue to use the 4.x versions of the Code42 agent and Code42 server on OS X 10.7 and OS X 10.8 until Code42 chooses to end support for the 4.x series software. The platform retirement and end of support for Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6 begins on March 31, 2016. Version 4.3.x of the Code42 agent and Code42 server is the last supported version for computers running Mac OS X 10.6. As of March 31, 2016, Code42 will no longer provide support for any Code42 products running on Mac OS X 10.6 devices. SharePlan end of sale and end of support

Update to minimum required version for Code42 cloud version policy

If your on-premises Code42 environment connects to the Code42 cloud, you must upgrade your Code42 environment to version 3.6.4.3 or later by August 31, 2015. This update to the minimum required version is due to a planned upgrade to the Code42 cloud scheduled for early September, 2015. Platform retirement and end of support for Windows Server 2003

Code42 has announced platform retirement and end of support for the Code42 agent and Code42 server on Windows Server 2003 as of July 14, 2015. This means that on that date, Code42 will stop providing support for these products on computers running Windows Server 2003. Code42 cloud version policy

If your on-premises Code42 environment connects to the Code42 cloud, you must upgrade your Code42 environment to version 3.6.3.2 or later by June 15, 2015. Code42 environments that are not at version 3.6.3.2 or later after June 15, 2015 will be unable to connect to the Code42 cloud. This required upgrade is the result of a planned security upgrade. Version 3.6.4 of the Code42 agent and Code42 server is the last supported version for computers running Mac OS X 10.5. As of May 31, 2015, Code42 will no longer provide support for any Code42 products running on Mac OS X 10.5 devices.
