Overview
Sign in to the Code42 agent to start backups if you're a new user or continue backups if you already have a user account.
Sign in to Code42
Use the Sign in to Code42 screen to sign in if your user account has already been created.

Enter your Code42 username. Code42 cloud usernames must be valid email addresses. If your company uses single sign-on (SSO), your Code42 username matches your SSO or LDAP username. Typically, this is the same username that you use to sign in to your computer. |
b | Server Address |
Enter the address of the Code42 server. |
c | Continue | Click to continue to the password prompt. Next, enter your password to sign in to your user account. |
d | Sign up for an account | Switch to the screen to create a new user account if you don't already have one. |
Create a new account
Use the Create a New Account screen to create a new Code42 user account if you don't already have one.
Your Code42 administrator may have customized this screen for your organization.

Create a username using the format provided by your Code42 administrator. Code42 cloud usernames must be valid email addresses. If your company uses single sign-on (SSO), your username must match your SSO or LDAP username. Typically, this is the same username that you use to log in to your computer. |
b | Registration Key | Enter the registration key for your organization as provided by your Code42 administrator. |
c | Server Address | Enter the address of the Code42 server. |
d | Sign Up | Click to continue to the password prompt. Next, enter your password to sign in to your user account. |
e | Sign in with an existing account | Switch to the sign-in screen if you already have a Code42 account. |
Server address
To sign in to the Code42 agent, you need to know the server address that you are attempting to connect to. If you don't know your Code42 server address, contact your Code42 administrator.
Following are common server addresses:
- US1:
clients.us.code42.com
- US2:
clients.us2.code42.com
- US3:
clients.gov.code42.com
(for Code42 federal cloud servers only) - EU1:
clients.ie.code42.com
If you receive a connection error when you attempt to sign in, test your network connection to diagnose the problem.
