Platform end of support for Internet Explorer 11

Overview

As of January 14, 2020, Code42 applications are no longer supported for use with the Internet Explorer 11 browser.

Affects

  • Code42 agents running on devices using Internet Explorer 11
  • The Code42 console running on Internet Explorer 11

End of support for Internet Explorer 11

Windows 2008 R2 and Windows 7 SP1 are no longer supported by Microsoft as of January 14, 2020. Because Internet Explorer 11 was the default web browser for these operating systems, and newer Windows operating systems use the Microsoft Edge browser, Code42 decided to end support for the use of its products with the Internet Explorer 11 browser.  

This means:

  • Our Technical Support Engineer team does not guarantee assistance with issues arising from use of Internet Explorer 11.
  • Code42 does not guarantee that the Code42 agent will operate without issues when run with Internet Explorer 11.

Code42 applications are designed to work with the latest web browsers. As browsers reach their end-of-life with their vendors, Code42 ends support for those browsers with our applications.

Keep web browsers on your users' devices updated to the latest supported web browser versions. In addition, to continue receiving software updates and support for future releases of Code42 software, you must upgrade the operating systems of devices in your Code42 environment to a supported version.
