EU - US. Privacy Shield Framework invalidation update for CrashPlan for Small Business - July 2020
In July 2020, the EU - U.S. Privacy Shield Framework was invalidated and is no longer a mechanism for transferring personal data from the EU to the U.S. This does not affect your service with Code42.
As a result of the decision to invalidate Privacy Shield, Code42 has updated our Data Processing Addendum (DPA) to automatically include Controller to Processor Standard Contractual Clauses, which are an alternative legal basis for transfers of personal data outside the EU.
Code42’s DPA is automatically incorporated into the CrashPlan for Small Business Master services agreement, which means that these clauses automatically apply to your agreement with Code42 and no action is required by you.
