Covered Entities under HIPAA must have a signed Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with Code42 prior to using Code42 products to store electronic protected health information (ePHI). Whether or not Code42 can act as a Business Associate depends on your product plan.
You can pursue a BAA at any time, whether you are an existing customer seeking support to meet HIPAA compliance needs or a new customer who wants to have a BAA as you begin using Code42 products. In either case, the Code42 sales team can facilitate execution of BAAs with HIPAA Covered Entities.
Obtain a BAA
For more information about obtaining a BAA:
- New Code42 for Enterprise customer: Please contact Code42 for Enterprise sales
- Existing Code42 for Enterprise customer: Please contact your Code42 representative. If you do not know how to contact your Code42 representative, you can contact us through our website.

Customers with an existing BAA
If you already signed a BAA with Code42 and are thinking about changing your product plan, contact Code42 for Enterprise sales to determine whether Code42 can continue to provide service as a Business Associate under the BAA.
