Overview
Covered Entities under HIPAA must have a signed Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with Code42 prior to using Code42 products to store electronic protected health information (ePHI). Whether or not Code42 can act as a Business Associate depends on your product plan.
You can pursue a BAA at any time, whether you are an existing customer seeking support to meet HIPAA compliance needs or a new customer who wants to have a BAA as you begin using Code42 products. In either case, the Code42 sales team can facilitate execution of BAAs with HIPAA Covered Entities.
BAA requirements
Code42 will enter into a BAA based on your product plan at the time the BAA is executed. Code42 requires that backup archive encryption is not disabled.
