Code42 Public Cloud Version 4.1.5

Version 4.1.5 of the Code42 public cloud is a maintenance release that introduces support for OS X v10.10 Yosemite. Version 4.1.5 also includes a small number of other enhancements and fixes. Updated components include: Code42 public cloud CrashPlan app for CrashPlan PRO and CrashPlan PROe (version 3.6.4) Version 3.6.4 of the CrashPlan app will be rolled out over several days, beginning on October 17, 2014.

  • Corrected a case sensitivity issue for systems formatted with the Mac OS Extended (Journaled, Case-Sensitive) file system (HFSX)
  • Time Machine backup files are now excluded from backups to the Code42 public cloud
  • Default file selection exclusions now contain an exclude for Time Machine backups
  • Linux installer now installs CrashPlan app in a subdirectory named crashplan
  • Linux installer now uses the correct link when downloading the JRE

Known Issues

  • In some Linux environments, the CrashPlan app closes after upgrading to version 3.6.4. See CrashPlan App Closes In Some Linux Installations for additional details.
  • There is a known issue affecting hybrid environments and public cloud environments with keys on-premises. For environments in either of these configurations, we recommend upgrading all private Code42 servers running version 4.1.3, 4.1.4, or 4.1.5 to version 4.1.5.1.
