Overview
Your Code42 administrator may have deployed a Code42 agent to your device, which may open on your desktop and prompt you to sign up for a backup account. Follow the instructions in this article.

Sign up for your Code42 account by following the instructions below. For more information, contact the administrator of your Code42 environment.
On Windows and Mac, apps open automatically
On Windows and Mac, the Code42 agent automatically opens on your desktop. Linux users, run this command:

/usr/local/crashplan/bin/CrashPlanDesktop- At the last line on the Code42 agent interface, click Sign up for an account.
- Verify the Username. Change it if necessary.
If your organization uses SSO or LDAP, you must match your SSO or LDAP username.
- Click Sign Up.
- Provide a First Name, Last Name, Password, and Confirm Password.
If your organization uses SSO or LDAP, you must match your SSO or LDAP password.
- Click Sign Up.
The Code42 agent displays its home page and begins backing up your data.
