Reauthorize and enable the Code42 custom app in Box

Overview

You create and authorize a new Code42 Cloud Services custom app in the Box Admin Console when you connect Code42 to your organization's Box environment. If this custom app is accidentally disabled, deleted, or doesn't have the correct permissions, Code42 cannot monitor file activity and displays an error in Incydr in the Box connection's details. Reauthorize the custom app in the Box Admin Console to resolve the error and return the connection to the Monitoring status.

Affects

Box data connections.

Reauthorize the Code42 custom app in Box

  1. Log in to your Box Admin Console using your Box Admin username and password.
  2. If needed, click Box Admin Console at the bottom of the left navigation pane.
  3. Click Apps.
  4. Click the Custom Apps Manager tab.
  5. On the Server Authentication Apps tab, locate the Code42 Cloud Services app.
    • If the app is not listed, it may have been accidentally deleted. Use Data Connections in the Code42 console to deauthorize and resume monitoring your Box environment to re-add the custom app and return the connection to the Monitoring status.
    • If the app is listed, continue to the next step.
  6. If the app's Authorization status is not Authorized, do the following:
    1. From the More More icon menu that appears when you hover over the right side of the Code42 Cloud Services row, select Reauthorize App.
    2. After reviewing the app's information when prompted, click Reauthorize.
Box reauthorizes the app using the listed name, client ID, access, scopes, and authentication type.
  7. If the app's Enablement status is not Enabled, do the following:
    1. From the More More icon menu that appears when you hover over the right side of the Code42 Cloud Services row, select Enable App.
    2. When prompted, click Enable.
Box enables the application with its previous access.
