Restore tree not visible on restore screen

Applies to:
  • CrashPlan for Small Business (Mac only)
  • CrashPlan PROe

When you initiate several separate restores from the CrashPlan app, the restore tree may not be visible for further restores. This tutorial details methods for resolving the issue.

Restore process updated in CrashPlan app version 4.8.4 and later
In CrashPlan app version 4.8.4 and later, the Restore tab is updated. For instructions, see Restore files from the CrashPlan app version 4.8.4 and later

Under the hood

As you restore your files, the CrashPlan app displays a progress bar showing the current status of your restore.

Restore Progress BarWhen the restore completes, the record of the restore remains in the restore status section until you remove it. For each additional restore that you perform, a new progress bar is added, which reduces the available space in the CrashPlan app.
