If your CrashPlan app gets stuck when upgrading to a newer version, follow the instructions in this troubleshooting article to remedy the issue.
If the CrashPlan app never finishes upgrading, simply uninstall and reinstall the application. Your backup is not affected by uninstalling the CrashPlan app.
