CrashPlan App 3.5.2 Backing Up Open Files On Windows

Overview

There is a known issue with the 3.5.2 CrashPlan app running on Windows that affects CrashPlan's ability to back up open files.

Recommended Solution

If you cannot reach 100% of your backup, then:

  1. Close any applications that are running to give CrashPlan time to back up your files
  2. Make sure backup is running in the CrashPlan app
    If it is not running, start it manually by pressing the Back up now icon next to the destination in the Backup tab
  3. Once the backup is complete, you may start any applications you previously closed
