Access files on your mobile device
With the CrashPlan mobile app, you can access any file backed up to CrashPlan Central directly from your mobile device. The CrashPlan mobile app is available for Android, iOS, and Windows Phone devices. You can download any type of file, and open it in an app that supports the file type. Add another computer
You can add additional computers to your account by installing the CrashPlan app and signing in with your existing email and password. You can back up one computer to another, back up both computers to CrashPlan Central, or back up to a combination of computer and cloud destinations.
During your 30-day trial, you can back up as many computers as you want to CrashPlan Central. After the 30-day trial, every computer backing up to CrashPlan Central must be covered by a subscription. You can buy individual subscriptions for each computer, or you can buy a family subscription to back up two or more computers.
The CrashPlan notifications area and menu bar
You don't need to open the CrashPlan app to see how your backup is doing. Use the CrashPlan icon in the notifications area (Windows) or menu bar (Mac OS X) to see status information and access basic functions.
Backup sets are another feature available during your 30-day trial or with any subscription to CrashPlan for Home. Backup sets let you customize and prioritize what files go where and how often, as well as more advanced settings like versions and filename exclusions.
