Change your CrashPlan account email address

Overview

This tutorial explains how to change the email address associated with your CrashPlan account.

Considerations

After changing your email address:

  • All future emails from Code42 will be sent to the new address
  • Use your new address to sign in to CrashPlan anytime you want to access your account
  • Use your new address if you need to contact the Customer Champion team

Change your CrashPlan account email address

From the CrashPlan app

From a computer associated with your account:

  1. Open the CrashPlan app
  2. Click Settings > Account
  3. Enter your new email address in the Email field
  4. Click Save

From the my account page

CrashPlan for Home only

If you don't have access to the CrashPlan app, you can also change your email address from the My Account page on our website:

  1. Sign in to My Account
  2. In the Profile section, enter your new email address in the Email field
  3. Click Save

From the pro Administration console

CrashPlan for Small Business (previously CrashPlan PRO) only

If you are a CrashPlan for Small Business user, you can also change your email address from the CrashPlan for Small Business administration console:

  1. Sign in to My Account
  2. In the My Profile section, click the action menu icon in the upper-right of the screen
  3. Select Edit
  4. Enter your new email address in the Email Address field
  5. Click Update User
