This tutorial explains how to uninstall the Code42 server software.

Steps
Windows
You can uninstall a Windows Code42 server from the Control Panel.
- On your Code42 server, go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features > Uninstall A Program.
- Choose Code42 Authority Server or Code42 Storage Server (Code42 server version 8.2.5 and later), or CrashPlan PROe Server (Code42 server 7.0.5 and earlier).
- Click Uninstall.
- If prompted, choose Yes to confirm that you want to uninstall.
- If prompted, select Automatically close applications... and click OK to proceed with uninstallation.
- When prompted, restart your server to complete the uninstallation.
- (Optional) Uninstalling does not remove backup archives or database dumps. You may remove these items by deleting their directories on your file system.
Linux
You can uninstall a Linux Code42 server by running the uninstall script included with the Linux installer package.
- Download the installation package (tarball) for the appropriate version of your Code42 server.
You can find your current version in the Code42 console under Settings > Server. - Unpack the tarball.
- Run the uninstall.sh script with administrative privileges. For example, from the unpacked tarball directory:
sudo ./uninstall.sh
- When prompted, type
yes
to confirm that you want to uninstall the Code42 server.
The uninstallation script will stop the server, uninstall the software, and notify you when it is complete. - (Optional) Uninstalling does not remove backup archives or database dumps. You may remove these items by deleting their directories on your file system.
