Inbound backup
Inbound backup, also called computer-to-computer backup, could only be initiated in Code42 app version 4.x, which is no longer supported. In addition:
- Inbound backups continue when version 4.x Code42 apps are upgraded to version 5.x, but can only be managed via the Code42 console, not the Code42 app.
- Code42 app version 6.x and later completely removes support for inbound backups (backups do not continue, but you can disable existing computer-to-computer backups and remove the archives).
The Inbound Backup settings control whether or not backups from other computers are accepted, when they can be accepted, and how often archive maintenance takes place. The Accept Inbound Backups setting is disabled by default. The scheduling controls appear only when you enable the Between specified times option.
