Overview
The App Downloads screen displays the Code42 app versions available in your Code42 environment, and provides links for users and administrators to download the Code42 app.
- System administrators of Code42 for Enterprise with an on-premises authority server can use App Downloads to add client versions to their authority server by downloading them directly from Code42, or by uploading client package files obtained from the Code42 support site.
- Administrators and end users of Code42 for Enterprise can use App Downloads to download the Code42 app.
App Downloads
To access App Downloads:
- Sign in to the Code42 console.
- Select Administration > App Downloads.

The current setting for Auto-upgrade devices, which is managed from Settings > Server. When enabled, Code42 apps in your Code42 environment upgrade when a new client version is available. |

Lists the client versions stored on your authority server's file system. Both the installer and upgrade files are available for all client versions listed. |

The SHA-1 hash of the Code42 app installer. This enables you to validate the authenticity of the downloaded file. To validate the file:

i | Download Apps | Downloads the client installer to your local file system. |
j | Delete | Deletes the client package files from your authority server's file system. Both the installer and upgrade files are deleted. |
k | Upload client package files | Opens a window for uploading client package files to your authority server's file system. Compatible client package files can be obtained from Code42. When possible, Code42 recommends downloading compatible client packages directly from the Newer versions available from Code42 table below. |
l | Newer versions available from Code42 | Lists client versions that are compatible with your authority server version and available for download from Code42, but which are not currently on your authority server's file system. |

Downloads a client package from the Code42 servers and adds it to the file system of your authority server. When you add a client package:
Once a client package downloads and validates, it replaces earlier client versions for that operating system and series (6.x or 7.x versions). The newer version appears in the Available on your Code42 server list, and the older files are deleted from your authority server's file system. |
o | Cancel | Cancels download for a client package that is currently downloading, and prevents the package from being added to your authority server. |
Upload client package files
Click Upload client package files to browse and select client packages for upload.

a | Select Files | Opens the file browser for your operating system. You can select and upload Code42 package files (.pkg42) to the authority server. When you upload a client package:

When end users in on-premises Code42 environments sign in to the Code42 console and select App Downloads, available Code42 apps appear for download:
