Overview

In version 4.2.0 and later, performing a web restore from the Code42 console requires an additional permission, plan.read. As a result, users with custom roles that do not include the permission plan.read are unable to restore data from the Code42 console.

This configuration only affects administrators who have created a custom role that does not include the permission plan.read.

Affects

Code42 environments using version 4.2.0 or later with custom user roles.

Recommended solution

To allow users to restore from the Code42 console, add the permission plan.read to their custom roles.

  1. Sign in to your Code42 console.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Security > Roles.
  3. For each custom role in your Code42 environment, add the permission plan.read:
    1. Select the custom role.
    2. Click Edit button.
    3. Select plan.read.
    4. Click Save.
