Your CrashPlan PRO backup status report

Overview

For all CrashPlan PRO users, we send regular backup status reports to keep you informed about the health of your devices' backups. This guide explains the information in your backup status reports and shows how to configure when these emails are sent.

Item Description
a Support

Open the CrashPlan PRO support site.

b My Account Open your CrashPlan PRO administration console.
c Areas of concern

The number of your devices that have an area of concern, such as a long time since the last backup activity or an incomplete backup.

d Device name

The name of one device under your CrashPlan PRO user account.
This is a setting on your device, not a name configured in CrashPlan PRO.

e Backup status

An indicator of this device's backup status.

  • Green: This device's backup is normal.
  • Yellow: This device has not started a backup.
  • Red: This device has not connected in several days.
f Backup information

Details about this device's backup.

  • Destination name: The name of the backup destination, such as CrashPlan PRO Online or a local folder.
  • Last activity: The last time this device connected to this destination.
  • Last complete: The last time this device completed a backup to this destination.
  • Backed up: The amount of data this device has backed up to this destination.

Configuring backup report delivery

You can configure your weekly backup status reports from two places:

Your CrashPlan PRO administrator can also configure report settings for everyone in your organization.

Configuring backup reports from the CrashPlan app

  1. Open the CrashPlan app.
  2. Go to Settings > General.
  3. Under Backup Status and Alerts, choose a Delivery time.
  4. Click Save.

Configuring backup reports from the administration console

  1. Sign in to the administration console.
  2. Go to Devices.
  3. Choose a device to view its details.
  4. Click the action menu and choose Edit.
  5. Go to Reporting.
  6. Change your backup report settings.
  7. Click Save.
