The Device Status report gives you visibility to address common problems and questions about devices in your Code42 environment. To analyze the data in-depth, export the report as a CSV file and use the data-analysis tool of your choice.
Device Status report
In very large Code42 environments (100,000+ devices), running this report without specifying any search criteria can cause noticeable performance delays. We recommend specifying search criteria when possible.
To access the Device Status report:
- Sign in to the administration console.
- From the left menu, select Reporting > Device Status.

This only applies to Windows devices with Microsoft's User State Migration Tool (USMT).
Filters by the most recent User Profile Backup Status. Choose:
To view the User Profile Status in the search results, click the column selector icon and select User Profile Status.
|e||User||Searches on username, email address, first name, last name, or user external reference.
Filters by user status:
|g||Destination||Searches on destination name.|
|h||Organization||Searches on organization name or organization external reference.|
Filters by device operating system:
|j||Restrict to UID||Filters the search results by the unique identifier of an organization, user, device, or destination.|
|k||UID||If Restrict to UID (j) is selected, defines the unique identifier to filter by.|
|l||Include child organizations||When restricting to a specific Organization UID, specifies whether or not to include child organizations in the search results.|
|m||Run Report||Returns search results based on selected criteria.|
Displays a list of all possible columns to include in the search results.
The default columns are listed in items b - m below.

|b||Device Uid||Unique identifier for the device.|
|c||Device Name||Name of the device.|
Possible device states:
Filters by devices that have not backed up recently. Possible alert states:
|f||User Name||Code42 username of the user.|
Filters by user status. Possible user states:
|h||Destination Name||Name of the destination.|
|i||Last Activity||Date and time that the device last sent backup data to the specified destination.|
|j||Last Completed Backup Date||Date and time that the device last completed a backup to the specified destination.|
|k||Backup % Complete||Percentage of files selected for backup that are currently backed up.|
Cold storage status of the device's archive.
|m||Organization Name||Name of the device's organization.|
|n||Export Records||Downloads a CSV file of all search results.|
|o||Page size||Select to display 10, 25, 50, or 100 results per page.|
|Additional data options available from the column selector (a).|
|Device External Reference||External reference information for the device.|
|User Profile Status||
The most recent User Profile Backup status. This only applies to Windows devices with Microsoft's User State Migration Tool (USMT). Choose:
|User Email||Email address for the user.|
|User UID||Unique identifier of the user.|
|User External Reference||External reference for the user.|
|Destination UID||Unique identifier of the destination.|
|Last Connected Date||Date and time that the device last connected to the specified destination.|
|Created Date||Date and time this device was created in the Code42 environment.|
|Archive Size||Total number of bytes consumed by backed up files.|
|Archive GUID||Globally unique identifier of the backup archive.|
|Size of Selected Files||Total number of bytes selected for backup.|
|Organization UID||Unique identifier of the organization.|
|Organization External Reference||External reference information for the organization.|
Long version number of the Code42 app installed on the device.
The last three digits of the version number denote the Code42 app version. For example, a device listing the version number 1446267600650 means the device is running Code42 app version 6.5.0.
