Decide what to buy

Is there a free trial?

Yes. There is a 30-day free trial to Code42 for Enterprise. Your trial is a fully functional version of the software, and is exactly the same as the purchased software.

How is Code42 for Enterprise licensed?

Code42 for Enterprise is licensed by annual user license. Each active user consumes a user license.

Annual Licenses: You can choose from 1-year, 2-year and 3-year plans. These plans include Support and Maintenance for the duration of the license.

If you decide to host your data with us, you'll also need to pay storage fees.

Can I have a combination of annual and perpetual licenses on the same authority server

Yes. If you purchased a perpetual license in 2012 or earlier, you can have both annual and perpetual licenses running within the same Code42 environment.

Is Code42 for Enterprise available outside of the US and Canada?

Yes. Code42 for Enterprise is available worldwide.

Is Code42 for Enterprise translated in other languages?

Yes. Please see our details on available languages for all Code42 products.

Is there a manual?

Comprehensive product documentation is available on our support site. You can also easily save PDFs of single articles or groups of articles to create your own customized collection of product documentation.

How do I buy?

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept payment via credit card.

Do mobile devices count as a license?

Beginning with Code42 for Enterprise version 3.5, all licensing is user-based. A single user license covers up to 4 devices per user account. These 4 devices can be any combinations of computers or mobile devices.

Australia and New Zealand customers

Are your cloud services based in Australia?

Yes. We have a data centre in Sydney.

What payment options do you offer?

You can choose to pay with Visa or Mastercard. For more information on purchasing, contact sales.

I have already purchased a plan through the US store. What price do I pay to renew?

If you have already purchased a plan through the U.S. store, we'll continue to honor renewals of that plan at the U.S. renewal prices.

Why the big price difference between Australia and US offerings?

Even though our operating costs in Australia are significantly higher than they are in the U.S., we are absorbing some of the increased cost to make us more in line with similar products.

Can I purchase subscriptions for multi-year plans?

No. Our longest subscription term in Australia and New Zealand is one year (for Code42 for Enterprise).

Mobile FAQs

Other questions

Do you support backing up network drives?

Yes, but only on Mac OS X and Linux.

Due to security constraints within the Windows operating systems, Code42 for Enterprise does not support backing up mapped or network drives on Windows.

Where can I learn more?

There are several different ways to get more information about Code42 for Enterprise:

  • In the administration console, hover over a part of the screen to see a brief description of the item.

Can users back up to other users' computers?

No. Starting with version 3.2.1, Code42 for Enterprise does not allow creation of new client destinations for devices under different accounts.

Can users back up to other devices under the same account?

Is Code42 certified for ISO27001 or SSAE16 compliance?

Code42 ensures and monitors appropriate ISO27001 or SSAE16 certifications for its cloud data centers, and is an ISO27001-certified organization. Code42 continually strives to keep pace with evolving industry security standards.

Is Code42 for Enterprise HIPAA compliant?
