Overview

This article describes how to safely power on and power off a Code42 D1, M1, or S2 series server using the iDRAC web console.

Before you begin

Have the following available:

  • Web browser access
  • iDRAC IP address
  • iDRAC username and password

Power on the server

  1. Enter the iDRAC IP address into a web browser to access the iDRAC console window.
  2. Enter your Username and Password.
  3. Click Submit.

  4. In the Server section of the left navigation pane, click Power/Thermal.
  5. Select Power On System and click Apply.

  6. On the Warning dialog, click Yes.

    The server powers on.
  7. Click Logout in the upper-right corner of the iDRAC web console.

Power off the server

  1. Enter the iDRAC IP address into a web browser to access the iDRAC console window.
  2. Enter your Username and Password.
  3. Click Submit.
  4. In the Server section of the left navigation pane, select Power/Thermal.
  5. Select Graceful Shutdown and click Apply.

  6. On the Warning dialog, click Yes.

    The server powers off.

  7. Click Logout in the upper-right corner of the iDRAC web console.
