My Profile reference

Overview

The My Profile screen displays summary info and graphical views about your recent activity and the location of your devices. The action menu contains commands to edit your profile and view deactivated devices.

My Profile

To view your user profile, sign in to the administration console.

  • Version 6.5.x and later: Select My Profile from the Account menu in the upper-right of the administration console.

  • Versions 6.0.x and earlier: Select My Profile from the administration console left navigation menu.

My profile

Item Description
a Your first name, last name, and the organization to which you belong.
b Action menu Displays actions you can perform. You can edit your profile and view deactivated devices.
c General Info Summary of your account activity
d Used Storage Size of your archives
e Backup Restores Number of restore sessions and the amount of data restored
f Device Name List of devices associated with your account
g Roles Displays roles assigned to you
h Reference Displays your External Reference and Notes fields

 

Action menu

From the My Profile action menu you can:

Edit your user account information:

  • First and Last Name
  • Email Address
  • Username
  • Password
  • Backup Quota
  • Roles*
  • Indexing*
  • Reference
Show Deactivated Devices* View devices you've deactivated.
Hide Deactivated Devices* Hide devices you've deactivated from the devices list.
View Archives* Opens the Archive List view, which displays information about the archives associated with your account.
Search for Files* Opens the File Search web app in a new tab. The search form is pre-populated with your user ID.
This action is available only if you are authorized to use the File Search web app.
Reset Password* Sends you an email containing a link to reset your password.
Print

Prints the My Profile screen.

Edit profile

To edit profile, select the action menu , and choose Edit.

b Email Address1 Code42 for Enterprise email address
c Username1 Code42 for Enterprise username
d Old Password Your current password. Required to change password.
e Password1 New password. Re-enter password to confirm.
f Backup Quota*

Limit of data in GB that you can back up.

Select Unlimited to have no restriction.

Edit roles

Available to Code42 for Enterprise administrators only.

d Currently Assigned Permissions Description of permissions associated with the role

Edit indexing

Available in Code42 for Enterprise only if you have administrator privileges and indexing is enabled.

a Inherit indexing settings from organization Indexes your data as defined for your organization, or sets your indexing separately from the organization.
b Index all archives Enables indexing for your archives.
Your archives are indexed if they are located on destinations that allow indexing.
c Do not index the contents of files with these extensions1 Specifies a list of file extensions to exclude from content indexing. When adding a file extension, do not include a leading period (.) character.
When a file extension is excluded, your Code42 servers do not index the contents of files with that extension. File metadata is still indexed.

1 This setting is disabled when Compliance Settings are activated.
