Overview
The settings available in Destination Servers help you view, manage, and fine-tune the data stored on your Code42 servers. Sign in to your Code42 administration console and navigate to Destinations > Servers to see these settings.
Server Overview
Clicking a value in any of the Server Overview columns opens Server Details for the selected server, except where noted.

b | Select all | Select all servers. |
c | Name | Server name. |
d | Destination | Destination name. |
e | Archives | Number of archives on this server. |
f | Stored | Total amount of disk space used for backed up files on this server. Click the Stored value to display a list of all backup archives currently residing on this server. |
g | Free | Amount of free space on this server. |
h | Connections | Number of currently connected devices in this server. |
i | Accepting Data |
Indicates whether devices are allowed to send new data to existing archives on this server.

Indicates whether devices are allowed to store new archives on this server.

k | Balancing |
Indicates whether data balancing is enabled for this server.

Action menu
Command | Description |
---|---|
Show All | Displays all servers. |
Show Alerts | Displays all servers currently in an alert state. |
Export All | Exports all servers in the list to a CSV file. |
Print... | Prints the list of servers. |
Upgrade Server | Upgrades the selected server to a newer version of the Code42 environment. |
Archives
From the Servers Overview, click a server's Stored value to view a list of archives residing on the server. View screen details in the Destinations article.
CSV export
Export all visible servers to a CSV file by selecting action menu > Export All. If no server is selected, all servers in the list are exported.

server ID | Identification number of the server. |
guid | Globally Unique IDentifier for this server. |
ServerName | Name of the server. |
type |
Type of server associated with the destination. The type can be SERVER or STORAGE. |
acceptingInboundBackup |
Indicates whether devices are allowed to send new data to existing archives on this server.

Indicates whether new devices are allowed to back up to this server.

Identification number of the cluster server. |

Identification number for the destination. |

Primary network address used for client-to-server communication and for server-to-server communication. |
secondaryAddress |
Secondary network address used for client-to-server communication and for server-to-server communication. |
websiteHost |
Information used to build all links presented in the desktop and in all system emails, including alerts, and reports. |
storePointCount |
Number of store points under this destination. |
totalBytes | Total storage capacity for all store points on this server. |
usedBytes | Amount of used disk space on this server. |
usedPercentage | Percentage of used disk space for the server. |
freeBytes | Amount of free space on this server. |
freePercentage | Percentage of free space for this server |
coldBytes |
Amount of space consumed by archives in cold storage. |
coldPercentageOfUsed |
Percentage of used space consumed by archives in cold storage. |

Percentage of total space consumed by archives in cold storage. |
onlineComputerCount |
Number of devices currently connected to this server. |
inboundBandwidth |
Amount of bandwidth this server allows for inbound back up. |
outboundBandwidth | Amount of bandwidth this server allows for outbound back up. |
userCount | Number of users on this server. |
orgCount | Number of organizations associated with this server. |
archiveBytes |
Total bytes the archive occupies on disk. |
selectedBytes |
Total number of bytes selected for back up. |
remainingBytes |
Total size of files waiting to be backed up. |
backupSessionCount | Number of devices currently backing up and syncing to this server. |
computerCount | Number of devices associated with this server. |
Server details
Server Details displays stats and settings for the selected server.

Indicates whether this server is online.

i | Archive Maintenance | Time since last archive maintenance operation. |
j | Store Point Name | Lists the name of each store point on this server. |
k | Archives | Number of archives on this store point. |
l | Open Archives | Number of devices connected to this store point. This number includes devices backing up as well as devices that are connected, but not currently backing up. |
m | Stored | Storage space used on this store point. |
n | Free | Storage space remaining on this store point. |
o | Cold | Space used by cold storage on this store point. |

Indicates whether devices are allowed to send new data to existing archives on this server.

u | Storage Utilization |
Comparison of storage consumed per user. Chart regions are clickable. Beginning with Code42 server version 5.3, the Storage Utilization graph also displays the count of Online Devices, which is the number of devices connected to this store point. This number includes devices backing up as well as devices that are connected, but not currently backing up. |
v | Devices | Stats related to devices currently backing up. Displayed averages are per server and per store point. |
w | General Settings | Read-only summary of general settings defined under Settings > Server. |
x | Email Settings | Read-only summary of email settings defined under Settings > Server. |

Edit | Edit server configuration information. |
Add Store Point | Add a store point to this server. |
Remove | Remove server. Not available if any devices are currently assigned to back up to this server. |
Restart Server | Restart the Code42 server process on this server. |
Sync Server | Initiate the sync job between the selected storage server and the master server. Only available when the selected server is a storage server. |
Upgrade Server | Upgrade the selected server. |

Maintenance Rate, User Jobs |
Process priority for archive maintenance operations requested by the user. Increase priority to allocate more resources to archive maintenance operations. Increasing priority increases load on the host server. |

Process priority for archive maintenance operations automatically initiated by the system. Increase priority to allocate more resources to archive maintenance operations. Increasing priority increases load on the host server. |
d | Website protocol, host and port |
Sets the URL used for the administration console and for all system emails, including alerts and reports.

e | Primary network address |
Sets the primary network address used for communication with user devices and other Code42 servers.

f | Secondary network address |
Sets the secondary network address used for communication with user devices and other Code42 servers. The secondary network address is used by devices only when they cannot reach the primary network address.

g | Private address |
Sets the address that other Code42 servers within the destination use to communicate with this Code42 server for internal statistics and data balancing traffic.

h | Connection test result: able to connect | The specified address and ports are reachable. |
i | Connection test result: unable to connect | The specified address and ports are unreachable. |
Add Store Point
