Overview

CrashPlan PROe is compatible with OS X Mavericks (v10.9), but upgrading to OS X Mavericks may affect the Java installation used by the CrashPlan app version 3.6.1 and earlier. Follow the steps below to ensure your backups continue after you upgrade your operating system.

Affects

Devices upgraded to OS X Mavericks running CrashPlan app version 3.6.1 and earlier.

Considerations

When CrashPlan starts, it runs a full file verification scan. It may look like your files are backing up all over again, but CrashPlan is simply verifying the files.

Recommended solution

To resolve the issue, uninstall and reinstall the CrashPlan app.
