Customizing Your Administration Console

Applies to:
  • CrashPlan PROe

Overview

Your administration console displays several helpful text labels on the sign-in screen and displays a welcome widget after signing in. The information in this article outlines how to remove the welcome widget, which specific text labels can be customized, and how to enable text customizations.

Although removing the welcome widget and customizing the text labels of your administration console's sign-in screen are an unsupported features, this article provides information that some administrators have found useful.

Considerations

  • Editing text labels is available only in versions 4.1.6.3 and earlier of the Code42 platform. Later versions of the Code42 platform do not respect these customizations.
  • Removing the welcome widget is available only in version 3.2.1.2 and later of the Code42 platform. Earlier versions of the Code42 platform do not respect these customizations.
  • With the welcome widget disabled, you can still download the CrashPlan app from Devices > Add a new device.
  • You must have access to the file system of your enterprise server.
  • Our Customer Champions cannot assist you with customizing email templates.

  2. Open the config.css in a plain text editor.
  3. Uncomment the section for the Welcome widget/ wizard to disable the welcome box widget.
  4. Save your changes to the file.

Customizing Text
