Plans Reference

    Overview

    View and manage plans in your Code42 environment from Plans. Access to plans in the administration console is determined by your user role in your Code42 environment, not your member role within the plan.

    To interact with plans as a plan member, use the SharePlan web app.

    Plans overview

    The Plans Overview displays a list of all plans you have access to view. By default, only active plans are displayed.

    a Action menu

    Lists commands available in the Plans Overview.

    b Add plan Creates a new plan.
    c Select all Selects or deselects all plans in the list.
    d Name

    Plan name. Selecting the plan name displays the plan's details.

    e Type

    Distinguishes between personal and multi-user plans. Selecting the plan type displays the plan's details.

    f Users Number of users participating in the plan. Selecting the number displays the plan's details.
    g Devices Number of devices syncing with the plan. Selecting the number displays the plan's details.
    h Organization The plan's organization. Selecting the organization displays the plan's details.
    i Shared

    Total amount of disk space used by files in the plan. Selecting the number displays the plan's details.

    j Updated

    The date when the plan's details were last updated. Selecting the date displays the plan's details.

    Changes to files or folders within a plan do not change the Updated date.

    k Active (Version 4.1.6.3 and earlier) Displays whether each plan is active or deactivated.

    Activate Activates a deactivated plan. Only available when viewing deactivated plans.
    Add User Adds a user to the selected plans. Users can only be added to multi-user plans.
    Export All Exports a list of plans as a comma-separated value (CSV) file. If no item is selected, all items in the list are exported. x
    Print Prints a list of the selected plans. If no plan is selected, all plans in the list are printed. p

    Add user

    Users can only be added to multi-user plans. You cannot add another user to a personal plan.

    Item Description
    a Search users Searches for users. Enter the first few letters of the first or last name of the person you want to add. Matching names appear below as you type.
    b Users Lists users in your Code42 environment that are not members of this plan. Select a name to add the user to the plan. Holding down the shift or command/control key to select and add multiple users at once.
    c Role Specifies a member role for the new user(s).
    d Cancel Returns to Plans Overview without adding new users.
    e Add Adds selected user(s) and returns to Plans Overview.

    CSV export

    Export all visible list items to a CSV file by selecting the action menu and choosing Export All.

    planUid Globally unique identifier for this plan.
    planType

    Distinguishes between personal and multi-user plans.

    name Name of this plan.
    orgId Identification number of the organization associated with the plan.
    Organization Name of the organization associated with the plan.
    userCount Number of users in the plan.
    deviceCount Number of devices syncing with the plan.
    modificationDate Date when the plan's details were last updated. Changes to files or folders within a plan do not change the Updated date.
    lastMaintenanceDate Date when archive maintenance was run on the plan's archive.
    active Indicates if the plan is active or deactivated.
    totalArchiveBytes Total amount of disk space used by files in the plan.

    All plans created from the administration console are multi-user plans.

    Select an organization

    Item Description
    a Search organizations Searches for an organization. Enter the first few letters of the organization name. Matching organizations appear below as you type.
    b Organization Lists organizations in your Code42 environment. Select the organization to own this plan.
    c Cancel Returns to Plans Overview without adding a new plan.
    d Select Selects the organization and continues to enter a plan name.

    a Plan Name Defines the name for the new plan.
    b Cancel Returns to Plans Overview without adding a new plan.
    c Add Creates a new plan within the selected organization and returns to Plans Overview.

    Plan Details

    Item Description
    a Plan Name Name of this plan.
    b Plan GUID Globally unique identifier for this plan.
    c Action menu Lists actions that can be applied to this plan.
    d Type Distinguishes between personal and multi-user plans.
    e Users Number of users in the selected plan.
    f Devices Number of devices syncing with the plan.
    g Date Created Date of plan creation.
    h Individual Details Displays individual devices and users associated with this plan. Individual details are described in depth in the Devices and Users sections of this reference guide.

    Edit... Renames the selected plan.
    Note: Renaming a plan does not alter the name of the plan folder within the file system of a user's device already synced with the plan. The name change will only be visible from the SharePlan app or if the user leaves and rejoins the plan.

    Add Users... Adds users to selected plan. You can only add users to multi-user plan types. n
    Activate Activates the selected plan. Only applicable to deactivated plans.
    Deactivate...

    Deactivates the selected plan and deletes all associated data.

    Deactivated plan data cannot be recovered after it expires from cold storage, even if the plan is reactivated.

    Print... Prints the current detail display (including Devices or Users). p

    Devices

    Select a plan from the Plans Overview to see details about its devices.

    a Devices Displays plan Devices (this view).
    b Users Displays plan Users.
    c Device list Lists devices associated with this plan. Select any device name to view the Device Details.

    Users

    Select a plan from the Plans Overview to see details about its users.

    a Devices Displays plan Devices.
    b Users Displays plan Users (this view).
    c User list Lists users associated with this plan. Select any user name to view the User Details.
    d Role Member role for each user.
    e Remove user (x) Removes the user from this plan.
    Note: You can only remove users from multi-user plans.

    Search

    You can view a list of plans by searching for the plan name in the administration console. You can also view a list of a user's plans by clicking Plans from User Details.

    c Plans list Displays the plans that match this search.
