Reassigning user archives to a new store point from a non-functional or unavailable store point will cause the backup to start over. As a result of abandoning the existing archive, certain archival data will be lost:
- version history
- files in the archive that were deleted from the endpoint after being backed up
Before you begin
Since data loss is possible, take all troubleshooting measures possible to recover the inaccessible store point before starting this process. Also, good planning can prevent unexpected hardware and network events and changes that may take an enterprise server or store point offline.
You can contact our Customer Champions if you have questions about recovering your inaccessible store point.

You will be prompted to confirm that you wish to permanently remove the store point:
After you click the Remove button, a message in the lower left of the administration console will confirm that the store point was successfully removed:
Step 8: Confirm that devices can back up
